Club Uniforms
Uniforms are available from the club. The uniform must be worn at
interclub events.
Club Races
Participation in races is optional, but necessary to qualify for
the attendance award. The more who race the better the club spirit, and the stronger
the fellowship becomes. If you decide not to race, please advise the selectors
of your intentions prior to race days.
Note...
The Club Captain has full charge of all course and other matters
relating to runs and races. Events will be held wet or fine,
at 2.00pm unless otherwise stated. Club runs will commence at
that time, therefore members are requested to assemble at 1.45pm
to run at the set time.
Interclub and Open Races
Members may or may not wish to participate in these events, so there will always
be pack runs arranged for those not wishing to race. If you have some doubts regarding
these events, don't hesitate to ask a more experienced runner for information.
You will find that a considerable cross section of runners of varying abilities
participate in these events. A good turnout of members indicates a strong, healthy
club. Entry fees for open races will be paid by
the club for all events supported by the club (except marathons).
New Members
New members to our club are welcome, more information on what we
do is here.
Coaching
A number of coaches are active
in the club and can provide advice on injury prevention and training. The club
has a large junior training squad and will arrange travel
to junior training camps and major events throughout the season.
