Nick and Jono in World XC squads.

Nick Willis and Jonathan Wyatt have been named by NZ selectors in the Athletics NZ squad from which teams for the 2004 World Championships in Brussels will be selected.

Selectors intend to hold several camps between now and the end of January in preparation for the world event.

In addition to naming the squad, selectors also noted two outstanding performances from younger athletes on the day.

Mary Davies, (North) for her outstanding run for her third place in the Open Women's event.

Shaun Hunt (Wellington) for his tactical run and devastating finish to take the M17 title.
