A very blustery, strong northerly dominated the 2007 Shoe Clinic Harbour Capital marathon, half marathon and 10k. Judging by a comparison of the splits, runners found the 2nd half particularly testing with even the top athletes recording 2nd halfs that were 2-3 minutes slower than the first. Overall, it wasn't a day for fast times.

Congratulations to Vaughan New who won his age group (M50-54) and was 15th overall with an excellent 1:19:05 effort in the half marathon. Sarah Lynskey also scored a notable 5th in the women with 1:28:16 in her half marathon debut.

In the 10k, Murray Corles and Barry Howard were 3rd and 4th respectively in their age groups.
